Threaded Rod (All Thread)

396 products

Threaded rod — also called all-thread — is fully threaded bar stock used to make custom-length fasteners, hangers, anchors, and tie rods. Cut to length and paired with nuts, it adapts to countless fastening and suspension tasks. We stock threaded rod across grades from general-purpose to high-strength alloy, in inch and metric, coarse and fine.

Common Uses

Threaded rod suspends pipe, conduit, and HVAC equipment from structure; anchors machinery; forms U-bolts and custom studs; and ties assemblies together. Because it's cut to any length, it fills gaps where no stock bolt length fits.

Grades and Materials

ASTM A307: low-carbon steel for general-purpose use. ASTM A193 B7: high-strength chromium-molybdenum alloy steel for flanges, high pressure, and high temperature — the industrial standard. 18-8 stainless: corrosion resistance. 316 stainless: marine and chemical environments. Choose grade by the load and environment.

Coarse vs. Fine, and Length

Available in coarse (UNC) and fine (UNF) inch threads and standard/fine metric pitches. Rod is stocked in standard lengths (typically 3 ft, 6 ft, 10 ft or 12 ft) and can be cut to size. Plan for thread engagement at each end when calculating length.

Dimensional Standards

Threaded rod follows the grade specification (A307, A193 B7) for material and DIN 975 / DIN 976 for metric rod dimensions.

Selecting the Right Threaded Rod

Match grade to the load — A307 for light/general, B7 for high-strength and high-temperature. Choose stainless for corrosion resistance. Select thread pitch to match your nuts, and cut to length allowing for full nut engagement. Use matching-grade nuts and washers, and deburr cut ends to start nuts cleanly.

Use the filters to narrow by size, grade, material, and thread pitch.
