Screwdriver Bits

85 products

Screwdriver bits drive fasteners with power drills and impact drivers, available in every common drive type and length. The right bit material and fit prevent cam-out, stripped screws, and broken bits. We stock screwdriver bits across drive types, lengths, and steel grades including impact-rated.

Drive Types

Phillips: the most common, sized #1-#3. Square (Robertson): resists cam-out, popular in woodworking. 6-lobe (Torx): maximum torque transfer with minimal cam-out — increasingly standard. Slotted, hex, and security bits round out the range. Match the bit precisely to the fastener recess.

Insert vs. Power Bits

Insert bits (1") are short, used in a magnetic bit holder. Power bits (2"+) fit directly in a drill chuck or holder for more reach. Double-ended and various lengths cover different access needs.

Standard vs. Impact-Rated

Standard bits suit drills and light driving. Impact-rated bits use tougher steel (often S2) and a torsion zone that flexes to absorb the hammering of an impact driver, dramatically extending bit life. Using a standard bit in an impact driver shatters it — match the bit to the tool.

Selecting the Right Screwdriver Bit

Match the drive type and size exactly to the fastener. Use impact-rated bits in impact drivers, standard bits in drills. Choose insert bits with a holder for tight spaces, power bits for reach. Replace worn bits promptly — a rounded bit strips screws and wastes time. Keep a range of sizes on hand for mixed fasteners.
