Sleeve Anchors

136 products

Sleeve anchors are versatile expansion anchors that work in concrete, brick, and block — a key advantage over anchors limited to solid concrete. As the nut or screw is tightened, an expanding sleeve grips the hole wall. They suit a wide range of medium-duty fastening: fixtures, railings, signs, and brackets. We stock sleeve anchors in multiple head styles and materials.

How Sleeve Anchors Work

The anchor is inserted into a drilled hole, and tightening draws a cone through the metal sleeve, expanding it against the masonry. Because the sleeve spreads force over a larger area, sleeve anchors hold in hollow block and brick where a wedge anchor (solid concrete only) cannot. This versatility makes them a go-to general masonry anchor.

Head Styles

Hex head (nut): the standard, for brackets and structural fixtures. Flat (countersunk): sits flush for a finished surface. Acorn (round): a finished decorative cap for visible installations like railings. Choose by appearance and fixture type.

Base Material Versatility

Sleeve anchors hold in solid concrete, hollow and solid block, and brick, making them useful when the base material varies or is uncertain. For maximum holding in solid concrete, a wedge anchor is stronger; for mixed or hollow masonry, sleeve anchors are the better choice.

Materials

Zinc-plated steel: interior and dry use. 304 stainless: corrosion resistance for exterior and damp environments.

Selecting the Right Sleeve Anchor

Match diameter and length to the load and fixture, drill the correct hole size, and clean the hole. Choose the head style for appearance and fixture type, and stainless for exterior. For hollow block, position the sleeve in the solid web where possible. Maintain proper embedment and edge distance for rated holding.

Use the filters to narrow by diameter, length, head style, and material.
