Concrete Screws

Concrete screws are masonry anchors that thread directly into a pre-drilled hole in concrete, block, or brick — no separate anchor or plug needed. Their hardened, high-low thread cuts into masonry for a strong, removable hold. They're fast, reliable, and ideal for fixtures, furring, electrical boxes, and light-to-medium fastening. We stock concrete screws in flat and hex washer head styles.

How Concrete Screws Work

A correctly-sized hole is drilled with a carbide bit, then the screw is driven in. Its alternating high-low thread cuts grooves into the masonry, creating mechanical interlock. Because they cut rather than expand, concrete screws can be installed close to edges without cracking and can often be removed and replaced.

Head Styles

Flat (countersunk) head: sits flush, for a finished surface or where clearance is needed — usually Phillips or star drive. Hex washer head: a built-in washer face for maximum clamp and easy driving with a nut driver, for surface-mounted fixtures.

Critical: Hole Size and Embedment

Concrete screws demand the exact carbide bit diameter specified and adequate embedment depth — an oversized hole loses all holding power. Clean dust from the hole for full strength. These details determine whether the screw holds its rated load.

Materials and Finishes

Blue climate-coat steel: corrosion-resistant, the interior/general standard. 410 stainless: greater corrosion resistance for exterior and damp masonry.

Selecting the Right Concrete Screw

Drill the exact specified hole diameter with a carbide bit, clean the hole, and embed to the recommended depth. Choose flat head for flush mounting, hex washer for surface fixtures. Select stainless for exterior. Match length to fixture thickness plus embedment, and don't reuse the same hole repeatedly.

Use the filters to narrow by size, length, head style, and finish.
