Blind Rivets (Multi-Grip)

105 products

Multi-grip blind rivets accommodate a wide range of material thicknesses with a single rivet, replacing several standard grip-range rivets and cutting inventory. They install from one side like standard blind rivets but flex to fill varied stack-ups, making them ideal where thicknesses vary or are uncertain. We stock multi-grip rivets in aluminum and steel.

How Multi-Grip Rivets Work

A standard blind rivet works over a narrow grip range; choose wrong and the joint is loose or the rivet won't set. Multi-grip rivets have a body that collapses and fills to suit a broad range of thicknesses, so one part number covers what used to need three or four. The mandrel still pulls to form a back-side head from one side, with no rear access.

Inventory and Field Advantage

The wide grip range is the whole point: fewer SKUs to stock, less chance of grabbing the wrong rivet, and reliable joints when material thickness varies across an assembly. They're especially valued in field repair and high-mix production where the exact stack-up isn't always known.

Materials

Aluminum body: lightweight and corrosion-resistant, the common choice. Steel: higher strength. Match the rivet to the parts and environment to avoid galvanic corrosion.

Selecting the Right Multi-Grip Rivet

Confirm your material thickness falls within the rivet's (wide) grip range, match the body diameter to your drilled hole, and choose the material for strength and corrosion. Drill the correct hole size and set fully for a proper back-side head. Multi-grip rivets shine where thickness varies — for a single known thickness, a standard rivet is fine.

Use the filters to narrow by diameter, grip range, and material.
