Which set screw point type should I use?
Cup point (most common) provides maximum holding power on hard shafts. Cone point requires a matching dimple for permanent positioning. Flat point is for soft surfaces or applications requiring frequent adjustment. Half-Dog point locks into a groove for axial retention. Oval point is gentler on the shaft surface.
Does Black Oxide finish provide corrosion protection?
